Dilettante's Diary: the internal dialogue of a hedonist bluestocking.

I am a dilettante. I know quite a bit about a lot of things, but I don't know enough to be an expert on anything. I have a very sensual, hedonistic nature, but I am also a thinker, and I aim one day to be worthy of the label 'bluestocking', despite its pejorative connotations.

This is my journal, which, delightfully enough, doesn't have to go wherever I go, but is accessible from nearly everywhere I am.

Ok, so yesterday was a bad day

Ok, so yesterday was a bad day. I should have been out celebrating, but instead I was in the worst funk I've been in years. Stephanie said she was about ready to call the men-in-white-coats. We talked, finally around midnight, and cleared up a few things. I told her she's got to stop saying "everything" and "always" and "never" when she doesn't mean it. She told me I've got to stop being such an extremist. *grin* Shit happens. I guess I'm just overly sensitive to it.

Everyone at work is excited about me passing the CPP. They've already submitted for my pay increase, and the re-imbursement for the testing fee is in the works. I've added the CPP designation to my .sig. I've been getting queries from people about the exam--looks like 2 others in my office may try it next yer.
