Dilettante's Diary: the internal dialogue of a hedonist bluestocking.

I am a dilettante. I know quite a bit about a lot of things, but I don't know enough to be an expert on anything. I have a very sensual, hedonistic nature, but I am also a thinker, and I aim one day to be worthy of the label 'bluestocking', despite its pejorative connotations.

This is my journal, which, delightfully enough, doesn't have to go wherever I go, but is accessible from nearly everywhere I am.

Today's Quote

Stephanie provided this one:
"Men in authority will always think that criticism of their policies is dangeous. They will always equate their policies with patriotism, and find criticism subversive." - Henry Steele Commager

That qoute seems to sum up the current situation in these here Ununited States!!

Oh, and after that, they take steps to erode laws on privacy(Patriot Act) so that they can go after those who dare oppose their agenda!!

It happened just yesterday in the SCOTUS. Back things are going to happen.

The Patriot Act is the least of my worries. They can now take your property for progress. What's next? My kids?

Ununited States? Sounds like the Civil War.

Isn't that what the draft is?

And you're indian, too, you know the BIA used to relocate kids to 'boarding schools' involuntarily just a few decades ago.

The only person that I know of that is calling for the draft is Rangel and the funny thing is that he has tried every session of which he is a part.

Oh, and my prior post was suppose to read "Bad" things are going to happen.

I just wish my side of the aisle would go back to conservatism and quit trying to be Democrats.

I think that boarding schools would be a good thing for a bunch of our kids living in the big cities. Chamberlain-Hunt comes to mind.

Sorry, I didn't realize that was a post from sb. Hey, and quit reading my comment, comment on Kelly's posts.
