Dilettante's Diary: the internal dialogue of a hedonist bluestocking.

I am a dilettante. I know quite a bit about a lot of things, but I don't know enough to be an expert on anything. I have a very sensual, hedonistic nature, but I am also a thinker, and I aim one day to be worthy of the label 'bluestocking', despite its pejorative connotations.

This is my journal, which, delightfully enough, doesn't have to go wherever I go, but is accessible from nearly everywhere I am.

What is work but work, and more, at this time it seems to have no end. I have a three-day weekend, though, as I am leaving for Seattle on Friday for a lock-in birthday bash on Saturday. My boss has begged me to come in on one of the Saturdays this month to process amendments. I have the day of my choice off in return.

I have not opened the cognac yet. I am waiting, but I'm not sure why. I guess I'll open it when I'm ready to drink it.
