The most sybaritic day of my life.
I slept in, showered, shaved all pertinent places, listened to Baka Beyond, and had an all-around leisurely morning. Then I drove through Sellwood and took the bridge to Macadam, arriving just a few minutes before Eleven.
After filling out the questionnaire, I was shown the dressing room, given a locker, sandals, and a robe, and told that I would be enjoying lunch at noon and my first session at 1pm. The spa attendant recommended the steam room, so I spent 15 minutes in there. It really took the winter-damp out of my bones, and made me feel like I was in Hilo.
In the Sanctuary, I poured myself some tea and some cucumber water, and read for a while. The fountain was very soothing and I soon dozed off. Lunch was brought in very quietly, and I was gently awakened and told that my lunch was ready when I was. It was delicious: tuna salad with bow-tie pasta and a blue-cheese and walnut salad, with some fresh fruit. Just as I was deciding I was done, a woman came in and introduced herself and asked if I was ready for my Earth Elements Wrap.
I followed her into a 12 x 12 tiled room with a massage table set at an angle '\' in the room, and a shower aparatus in the corner. The massage table had the headrest attached and was covered with a sheet of plastic as well as sheets of mylar. She left the room and I stripped down and laid on my back on the table.
Then, she commenced the most usual and pleasurable non-sexual experience of my life.
(more on another day)
