Dilettante's Diary: the internal dialogue of a hedonist bluestocking.

I am a dilettante. I know quite a bit about a lot of things, but I don't know enough to be an expert on anything. I have a very sensual, hedonistic nature, but I am also a thinker, and I aim one day to be worthy of the label 'bluestocking', despite its pejorative connotations.

This is my journal, which, delightfully enough, doesn't have to go wherever I go, but is accessible from nearly everywhere I am.

This is my first post to my weblog.

First I would like to send thanks to Firewalk, an old friend who showed me his blog a couple of months ago and piqued my interest.

I had started a homepage several years ago and promised a "Dilettante's Diary", but never got around to uploading anything. Back in 1999 I had tried to talk a friend of mine into coding an application that would allow me to write my journals on my computer instead of on paper, since I was always misplacing my journal and thus forgetting to keep record of my daily thoughts, ideas, essays, poems, etc.

Today's Thought:
"I had always wanted an adventurous life. It took a long time to realize that I was the only one who was going to make an adventurous life happen to me." - Richard Bach.
